Graphene Week 2016

Daily Digest - Day Five
Four final plenary sessions brought Graphene Week 2016 to a close on its fifth day. Graphene week ended as it began with a few words from the conference Chair, Dr Wlodek Strupinski. Next stop: Athens 2017.
Daily Digest - Day Four
The forth day of Graphene Week 2016 showed what an interesting and truly varied field graphene research is.
Daily Digest - Day Three
The third day of Graphene Week 2016 was fascinating, with talks from the entire graphene ecosystem – from theoretical physics all the way through to commercialisation.
Daily Digest - Day Two
The second day of Graphene Week 2016 was every bit as exciting as the first. The day started with a plenary session discussing a wide range of different two-dimensional materials.
Daily Digest - Day One
The eleventh edition of Graphene Week began with a warm welcome from the conference Chair, Dr Wlodek Strupinski (ITME). Graphene Week's first day in Poland’s capital city was pretty special.

What to Expect

Graphene Week is Europe’s most influential conference on graphene and related two-dimensional materials. Graphene Week 2016 will be held in the capital of Poland on the main campus of the University of Warsaw, the largest and one of the oldest academic institutions in the country.

Up until now, Graphene Week has been staged in various locations across Europe. In 2014, the conference was sold out, which brought together over 450 professionals from 35 countries in Gothenburg, Sweden. At Graphene Week 2015, history was repeated with over 600 professionals from 37 countries.

The Graphene Week 2016 programme will focus on:

  • Science and applications of graphene and new 2D materials
  • Synthesis of graphene and new 2D materials
  • 2D materials, heterostructures and superstructures
  • Correlation effects in graphene and 2D materials
  • Graphene- and 2D materials-based nanocomposites
  • Graphene-related biomedical and environment research
