Social Activities

Social Activities

The academic programme of the school is tailored to give ample opportunities for free discussions to be held beyond the lecture hall. We invite you to join the numerous social activities, play billiard or dart, bike, train in the gym or join the morning running sessions to secure a good mood and excellent form for both mind and body.

Discussion can be extended during the following optional social activities:

Welcome Dinner
Sunday 25 June, 19:00-20:00
As you might be tired from a long trip to Sweden, we will keep the welcome dinner quite short so you can get a rest and start fresh into a week full of interesting lectures, opportunities to exchange yourself with other delegates and enjoy the Swedish lifestyle.

Cultural Evening - Cinema Session
Monday 26 June, 21:30-23:00
In our cinema session we want you to meet the Swede Ove. He’s a curmudgeon—the kind of man who points at people he dislikes as if they were burglars caught outside his bedroom window. He has staunch principles, strict routines, and a short fuse. People call him “the bitter neighbor from hell.” But must Ove be bitter just because he doesn’t walk around with a smile plastered to his face all the time?

Grab some popcorn and watch "A man called Ove" with us, an award winning Swedish movie that was nominated for two Oscars and is the third most watched swedish cinema-film in Sweden of all time. How would you pronounce "Ove"?

 How would you pronounce "Ove"?

Cultural Evening
After Poster Mingling and Music from Scandinavia
Tuesday 27 June, 21:30-23:00
Keep discussing the posters with the other delegates or relax a bit in the lounge area. We will put on some Scandinavian music but don't worry - it won't be only Abba and Roxette!

Nobel Prize Dinner and Quiz
Wednesday 28 June, 19:30-22:30
We invite you to put on your most festive outfit (on voluntary basis of course) and walk the red carpet to the Nobel Prize Dinner. A photo booth will give you the possibility to take some glamorous shots with your colleagues. Besides of a delicious menu being served to you in an elegant atmosphere, we will have our poster award ceremony during this evening and challenge your nobel prize qualities and team working skills during a quiz. Are you ready to be a Nobel laureate?
