How to get there

By Air

Strasbourg International Airport (Entzheim), (SXB), France

20 minutes from the conference center. Strasbourg airport is located 20 km from the Palais de la Musique et des Congrès (PMC) 

The train (TER) runs between Strasbourg airport and the city center 5 times per hour, the journey takes 8 minutes. 

The service starts at 05:30 and runs until 22:00. Tickets cost 2.80 for a single or 4.50 for a combined  train-tram ticket. When you leave the airport the Entzheim train station is ~100 m away to the right. Train tickets can be purchased at a ticket machine on the far right of the airport, near the exit towards the trains. Do not forget to stamp you ticket at the "yellow machine" on the platform. Once you arrive at Strasbourg train station take the tram line "C" (see tram information below).

Paris Charles de Gaulle international airport, (CDG), France

1h50 minutes from Strasbourg city center. Paris Charles de Gaulle airport conects directly to Strasbourg city center via the TGV train. If you book your flight ticket with Air France your airfare can include the trip by train Paris Charles de Gaulle – Strasbourg.

Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg EuroAirport, (MLH), France, (BSL), Switzerland

1h30 minutes from Strasbourg city center. From the airport take the shuttle to the railway station Saint Louis, Distribus, line n°11. Take a train to Strasbourg railway station or from Saint Louis – Mulhouse and change for a train to Strasbourg. The last train from Saint Louis station departs at 20:30.

Frankfurt International Airport, (FRA), Germany

2h30 minutes from the conference center and Strasbourg city center with the Lufthansa shuttle bus. Depart Frankfurt Airport at Terminal 1 "Squaire West". This train stops at Strasbourg railway station and the Hilton hotel, located in front of the conference center.

Karlsruhe Baden Baden, Baden Airpark, (FKB), Germany

1h00 from Strasbourg city center. You can take a bus from the airport to Baden Baden railway station and then a train to Strasbourg. There will be a minimum of one change to make this journey.

If you wish you can book the shuttle  "Alsace-navette" which will transport you to the conference center or your hotel.

By Car

Strasbourg can be reached from various directions: 

  • From the west (Paris, Benelux) via the A4 motorway (E25). Approx. 4 hours from Paris 

  • From the south (Switzerland, Lyon), via the A35 motorway (E25). Approx. 5 hours from Lyon 

  • From the north and east (Germany), via the A5 motorway (E35)

 

By Coach

The bus stops for these international coaches are situated at Parc de l’Etoile, place de l’Etoile, 67000 Strasbourg. 

Once you arrive at Strasbourg bus station, take the tram D and depart at stop Etoile-Bourse in the direction Poteries. Leave the tram at “Homme de Fer”. Take the tram B in the direction of Hoenheim Gare, and depart at stop “Wacken”.

Getting around Strasbourg

15 to 20 minutes from Strasbourg railway station.  

Tram C – Stop « Gare centrale » - Direction Neuhof Rodolf Reuss 

Depart the tram at stop “République” . Take the tram E in the direction of Robertsau l’Escale  or tram B in the direction Hoenheim Gare”, depart the tram at stop “Wacken.

 

10 minutes from the city center.

Tram C – stop “Homme de Fer » - Direction Neuhof Rodolf Reuss.

Tram B – Stop “Wacken” in the direction of Lingolsheim, depart the tram at stop “Homme de Fer”. (city center). Take Tram C in the direction of Gare centrale and depart the tram at stop “Gare Centrale”.

 

Walking

You can also walk to the city center from the tram stop “République”, it takes 10 minutes.
