Welcome to Porto! Set along the banks of the Douro River, Porto is the main city of northern Portugal and a designated UNESCO World Heritage site. Its historic centre is easy to explore on foot, with streets that lead down to the lively Ribeira district by the river. Known for its famous port wine cellars across the water, Porto also offers historic churches, tiled façades, local markets, and a growing creative scene.
The city combines tradition, culture, and everyday life in a setting that is both authentic and welcoming.

Getting there is easy: Porto is served by Francisco Sá Carneiro Airport, located just 20 minutes from the city centre. The airport offers direct connections to major European hubs and several international destinations.
From the airport, you can easily reach the city by Metro (Line E), taxi, or ride-sharing services. The metro provides a direct and affordable connection to the downtown area in approximately 30 minutes.
The city is also well connected by train to Lisbon and other major destinations.
