Graphene Connect & Health Investment Forum
The Graphene Flagship, the Medical Association of Barcelona (COMB) and the Catalan Institute of Nanoscience and Nanotechnology (ICN2) co-organized a Graphene Connect event on MedTech and Diagnostic Technologies associated with the first Graphene for Health Investment Forum. The event will took place on 6 November 2019 from 9:00 to 17:30 and was hosted at the premises of the Barcelona Medical Association in Barcelona, Spain.
Graphene Connect events, now Innovation Workshops, are workshops aimed at fostering the interest of industries into graphene technologies and creating a crosslink occasion for collaborative innovation projects within and outside the Graphene Flagship Consortium.
This Graphene Connect on MedTech and Diagnostic Technologies provided an all-around view of the path that a medical technology has to undergo from the laboratory stage to complete clinical translation and commercialisation. To this target, stakeholders from the academic, industrial and medical area presented their perspective and needs, and discussed the opportunities and challenges of graphene-based technologies to reach end-users (patients or doctors) and social impact.
The Graphene Connect workshop was followed by the first Graphene for Health Investment Forum, an occasion to showcase graphene innovative projects targeting the healthcare sector. Entrepreneurs were given the opportunity to pitch their project in front of healthcare investors and the medical community.
