Rebecca Waters

Rebecca Waters is the Work Package Dissemination and Division 6 leader. She oversees the Dissemination activities and manages the work package tasks and personnel. Rebecca also serves as the Graphene Flagship Communications Officer writing and disseminating corporate news, managing the website and overseeing media outreach. A former journalist with a degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Rebecca worked for both consumer and B2B magazines before joining the Graphene Flagship. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, boating and exploring the world with her family.

Fernando Gomollon-Bel

Fernando Gomollon-Bel is the Graphene Flagship Press Coordinator. He deals with press releases, media relations, and some of the Graphene Flagship's website and social media content. Fernando was originally trained as a chemist, but long-term exposure to toxic solvents somehow turned him into a science communicator with experience in Public Relations, radio, magazines, and TV. He loves LEGO, Netflix, cooking, and going for an occasional run around Cambridge. But science is his true passion, even his two cats have sciency names – Gaia and Lynn.

Melanie Lawson

Melanie Lawson is the Graphene Flagship Digital Media Coordinator. Mel manages the Graphene Flagship website, global social media strategy, graphic design of digital and print materials, and brand identity. She has a Physical Geography degree from her hometown, Sheffield, but switched geology for communications when she joined the project in 2018. Exiled from the UK for her controversial dislike of tea, Mel now lives on the Swedish west coast. She loves science fiction, puzzles, and outdoor swimming.

Luciana Löberg

Luciana Löberg is a project coordinator, working at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. As the Graphene Flagship Event Manager, she is managing the annual Graphene Week congress, the Graphene Study and Digital Events, being fully responsible for the event organization, budget, suppliers, host partners and reports. Luciana has two Master's degrees in Business and Tourism & Hospitality Management. She is passionate about learning experiences and works against the odds to make all events a success. She left the tropical climates of Brazil, for a calmer life in Sweden, where she enjoys riding her electric bicycle.

Letizia Diamante

Letizia Diamante writes science news for the Graphene Flagship and coordinates the Diversity in Graphene initiative. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry (University of Cambridge) and a MSc in Science Media Production (Imperial College London).
