Rebecca Waters
Communication Officer
Rebecca Waters is the Work Package Dissemination and Division 6 leader. She oversees the Dissemination activities and manages the work package tasks and personnel. Rebecca also serves as the Graphene Flagship Communications Officer writing and disseminating corporate news, managing the website and overseeing media outreach. A former journalist with a degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism, Rebecca worked for both consumer and B2B magazines before joining the Graphene Flagship. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, boating and exploring the world with her family.
Luciana Löberg is a project coordinator, working at Chalmers University of Technology in Gothenburg. As the Graphene Flagship Event Manager, she is managing the annual Graphene Week congress, the Graphene Study and Digital Events, being fully responsible for the event organization, budget, suppliers, host partners and reports. Luciana has two Master's degrees in Business and Tourism & Hospitality Management. She is passionate about learning experiences and works against the odds to make all events a success. She left the tropical climates of Brazil, for a calmer life in Sweden, where she enjoys riding her electric bicycle.
Science News Writer and Diversity in Graphene Coordinator
Letizia Diamante writes science news for the Graphene Flagship and coordinates the Diversity in Graphene initiative. She holds a PhD in Biochemistry (University of Cambridge) and a MSc in Science Media Production (Imperial College London). Before joining the Graphene Flagship, she worked as science communication specialist for several research organisations in Europe and Asia. Her motto is: Learn something new every day.
Anastasia Papanicolaou is the Graphene Flagship Digital Media Coordinator. She manages the Graphene Flagship global social media marketing strategy, content creation, and website. Before joining the project, she worked as a social media marketing specialist for an international charity in Ireland. A former musical theatre student turned communications graduate, she is a naturally imaginative person who enjoys the art of storytelling and bringing people together. She is an advocate of prioritising wellbeing and balance, and enjoys a slower-paced lifestyle as much as possible.
Rosalind Moran is the Graphene Flagship Press and Communications Co-ordinator. She is responsible for communicating the Graphene Flagship's messages and results across a range of sector-specific and wider media internationally. With a background in freelance journalism, government speechwriting, and working in communications for an international charity, Rosalind enjoys finding ways of ensuring useful knowledge and meaningful ideas reach new audiences. She holds degrees in languages and literature from the University of Cambridge and the Australian National University, and in her spare time enjoys hiking, painting, and spending time with friends and family.
