Chips Act Session

Chips Act session

Tuesday 6 September 2022, 15:30 – 16:30 CET

Location: Auditorium

The European Chips Act was presented by the European Commission in February 2022 and aims to strengthen Europe’s competitiveness and resilience in semiconductor technologies and applications, to help achieve both the digital and green transition.

Chips are strategic assets for key industrial value chains and more and more sectors heavily rely on them. The ongoing global semiconductor shortage highlighted the EU dependency in a complex geopolitical context.

With the Chips Act, the EC aims to strengthen Europe’s technological leadership and to develop a thriving semiconductor ecosystem. This session will dive into the EC plan and discuss how the Graphene Flagship and its 2D-EPL project can support the EU to achieve its goals.
