Open Forum

Monday 14 October

In 2024 we celebrate 20 years since the isolation of graphene. The Open Forum looked at the progress made in graphene research and commercialisation, the Graphene Flagship's role in this work, and our expectations for the future. The European Commission, through the Graphene Flagship, has played a crucial role in supporting the development of graphene and other 2D material applications, the launch of spinoff companies and the advance in our knowledge of nanomaterials and their uses. With the current Graphene Flagship projects, we are excited to keep building toward a new future for 2D materials integration and commercialisation.
