General Information
- Abstracts must be submitted online via the Graphene Week (GW) abstract submission website
- Abstracts cannot be submitted by hard copy or e-mail
- The corresponding author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the presenting author and the co-authors of the status of the abstract
- The corresponding author will have access to the abstract after submission via an on-line personal page
- Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the stated e-mail address of the corresponding author, within 24 hours. If you need further information regarding your abstract submission, please contact: gw@graphene-flagship.eu
- Student Grants available! Abstract authors interested in applying for a scholarship must complete a full scholarship application, available through the Graphene Flagship website from 15 March to 15 June 2022.
How to submit an abstract?
Abstracts must be submitted via the Graphene Week abstract submission website. The abstracts cannot be submitted by hard copy or e-mail.
- Results: Notification of acceptance will be sent to the stated e-mail address
- Please add GW@graphene-flagship.eu to your address book to ensure you do not miss this and other important Graphene Week messages.
- The corresponding author will receive all correspondence concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing the presenting author and the co-authors of the status of the abstract
- The corresponding author will have access to the abstract after submission via an on-line personal page.
- Acknowledgement of receipt of the submission will be sent to the stated e-mail address of the corresponding author, within 24 hours.

- Please follow the instructions on each web page of the abstract submission form.
- Please note that the abstract must be written in English. It is the author’s responsibility to submit a correct abstract; any errors in spelling, grammar, or scientific fact will be reproduced as typed by the author.
- A summary version of the abstract (50 words) is required. The 50 words summary, which will appear at the conference programme, should be an explicit summary of the full abstract that states the problem, the methods used as well as the major results and conclusions. It should be complementary to the title, not a repetition.
- A PDF file of the full abstract must be attached to the submission(minimum 200 words). This file will be used to produce the Graphene Week Programme online. Applications without a PDF attachment will be rejected.
- Please, use the Microsoft Word template to create the PDF document.
- Any references/citations that are part of the article are included, in full, below the abstract text.

Submission Policies
Submitting an abstract, you have agreed to the terms and conditions set out below:
- Multiple abstract submission: Invited speakers and delegates can present only one abstract for each presenting author.
- Withdrawing an Abstract :If an invited speaker accepts an invitation to present but is later unable to do so, the speaker must contact the gw@graphene-flagship.eu.
- Deadline: The final deadline to submit the abstract is 15 May 2022, 23:59 Central European Summer Time. Only abstracts received by the published deadline are guaranteed acceptance into the regular scientific program. The organisers are under no obligation to schedule any contributed abstract that arrives after the close of business on the deadline date
- Presentation: At the Graphene Week(GW), an invited paper is usually given 12 minutes for presentation plus 3 more minutes for questions. Unit meeting presentation times vary.
- Abstract Review: All submitted abstract will go through a peer-review process carried out by an international reviewing committee. Each abstract will be reviewed by at least three reviewers. The GW reserves the right to reject or alter abstract based on, but not limited to, the following criteria:
a.The abstract lacks in scientific quality
b. The abstract is poorly written in English (the official language of the meeting)
c.The abstract fall outside of the topical scope of the meeting
d. The abstract contains inappropriate content
e.The abstract does not comply with style guidelines, including excessive length
- Abstract Selection: The GW Scientific Programme Committee makes the final selection of abstracts to be included in the conference programme. Abstracts can be selected for oral presentation in oral abstract sessions or to be presented as a poster. A small number of highest scoring posters are selected for presentation in oral poster discussion sessions, whereas majority of the posters will be displayed in the Poster Exhibition.
- Notification of Acceptance or Rejection to Corresponding Author: Notification of acceptance or rejection will be sent to the submitting (corresponding) author in June 2022. Please note that only the corresponding author will receive mail concerning the abstract and is responsible for informing all co-authors of the status of the abstract. Authors whose abstracts have been accepted will receive instructions for the presentation of them.
- Publication of Accepted Abstracts: The submission of the abstract constitutes the authors’ consent to publication. If the abstract is accepted, the authors agree that their abstract is published under the Graphene Week Digital Programme published on the website.
- Poster Sessions: Authors of abstracts assigned to poster sessions should make sure that the title and content of their posters correspond o the title and content of the abstract printed in the online programme.

- The poster board can take an A0 poster in ‘Portrait’ layout (A0 prints measure 841mm x 1189mm), unless otherwise indicated by the program organizers.
- When designing your poster, remember that attendees may be viewing it from a distance.
- No audio-visual equipment is allowed in poster sessions, unless otherwise indicated by the program organizers.
- Stay with your poster during author attendance times.
10. Copyright Notice: Abstracts should not include libelous or defamatory content. Material presented in abstracts should not violate any copyright laws. If figures/graphics/images have been taken from sources not copyrighted by the author, it is the author’s sole responsibility to secure the rights from the copyright holder in writing to reproduce those figures/graphics/images for both worldwide print and web publication. All reproduction costs charged by the copyright holder must be borne by the author. Authors who submit to this conference retain copyright over their work, while allowing the conference to place this unpublished work under the care of a PCO service provider.
11. Privacy Statement: The names and email addresses entered in this conference site will be used exclusively for the stated purposes of Graphene Flagship Events and will not be made available for any other purpose or to any other party, according to the Graphene Flagship GDPR rules.
