The Diversity in Graphene initiative aims to create a collaborative research environment where everybody feels welcome, without any prejudice. The initiative holds two annual meetings, a career day and a meeting at the Graphene Week conference.
Equity, Inclusion & Diversity (EID) is not just a catch phrase, having a diverse and inclusive work environment encourages creativity, collaboration and effectiveness. This session explores the importance of diversity in research institutions and the benefits and challenges associated with creating an inclusive environment. Speakers will explore their experiences and an open discussion on challenges faced and mechanisms for creating inclusive environments will be encouraged.
