This digital workshop, organised by Chalmers Industriteknik, explores the current state of graphene commercialization and the key challenges that must be addressed to scale graphene-based materials to market. Experts from industry, investment, and end-user companies share perspectives on production scale-up, investment readiness, industrial validation, and commercialization pathways.
The program begins with a general overview of where graphene stands today, followed by an outline of the main hurdles to commercialization, including cost, dispersion, regulation, processing, sustainability, and demand creation. These challenges are illustrated through real-world examples from material producers, investors, and industrial users. The workshop concludes with a panel discussion focused on what is missing today and what is needed to move graphene to the next stage of market adoption.
The digital workshop on Advancing Sustainability in 2D Materials highlights the latest advancements in eco-design, green synthesis, and lifecycle assessment, presented in a fully online format. This session brings together experts from research and industry to explore sustainable approaches to 2D material development and energy storage technologies.
This second GRAPHERGIA Hub Webinar Series is dedicated to discussing sustainability principles to evaluate the environmental and socio-economic methodologies for products’ eco-design. In this scientific session, we will present the eco-design principles for materials, process and development phases, while sharing insights from the key methodologies used for sustainability research, including Life Cycle Assessment (LCA), Life Cycle Cost (LCC) and Social Life Cycle Assessment (SLCA).
