Cancelled Women in Graphene to Be Replaced by Virtual Event

The physical meeting will be replaced with a digital event on the same dates

The corona virus outbreak in Italy has grown over the past week, causing large disruptions across parts of the country. Upon consultation with the host, Consiglio Nazionale delle Richerche, and following the order issued by the Emilia Romagna Government together with the Italian Health Ministry, we have regretfully made the decision to cancel Women in Graphene scheduled for 18-19 March 2020 in Bologna, Italy. The physical meeting will be replaced with a digital event on the same dates, featuring the same speakers and training sessions. More information will be released in the coming days.

Bringing together 118 academic and industrial partners in 12 research and innovation projects and 1 coordination and support project, the Graphene Flagship initiative will continue to advance Europe’s strategic autonomy in technologies that rely on graphene and other 2D materials. The initiative, which builds on the previous 10-years of the Graphene Flagship, is funded by the European Commission’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme. The 2D-Experimental Pilot Line, addressing the challenges of upscaling 2D material production processes for the semiconductor industry, is another key component of the Graphene Flagship eco-system.
