Invitation to submit proposals to spearhead projects for the next phase of the Graphene Flagship (Core 3, 2020 – 2023)

Each SHP must be led by an industrial company or a research institute focusing on technology transfer, and be motivated by market opportunities. Moreover, it must have a well-defined value chain as well as objectives and deliverables on TRL 6 or above, The SHP topic must be one where European industry can be expected to take the results further.

Duration: 36 months from 1 April 2020
Overall indicative budget: up to 43.6 M€

Indicative budget per SHP: The budget should be appropriate to reach the project goals. As a guideline, 10-15 SPH are expected to be funded, however this range is non-restrictive and more or fewer projects can be funded.

A spearhead project (SHP) is an ambitious, well-defined application-oriented subproject of the Graphene Flagship (GF). Each SHP must involve at least one GF Core 2 partner.

Each SHP must be led by an industrial company or a research institute focusing on technology transfer, and be motivated by market opportunities. Moreover, it must have a well-defined value chain as well as objectives and deliverables on TRL 6 or above, The SHP topic must be one where European industry can be expected to take the results further.

Conditions for eligibility, and instructions on the content, confidentiality and evaluation are provided on the Graphene Flagship intranet – accessible only to Core 2 partners. Spearhead project proposals must be submitted by a GF Core 2 partner according to the submission instructions provided in the above-mentioned intranet (link works only for Core 2 partners). Proposals submitted by any other means are not eligible.
